Hexxit REvisited -> Entropic Exploration!

After almost a 3 year hiatus, we've decided to make a mini-comeback! Dropping the name Hexxit entirely felt appropriate since we no longer work with the Technic platform, and they kinda own the Hexxit brand. So after quite some tiem of more testing and thinking, as well as emailing various other hosts such as ATL and FTB, turns out FTB merged with Curseforge! Which in a sense makes this even easier to not only publish but offer support.

Here's the official Curse page to download Entropic Exploration!
Here's the official Curseforge thread to discuss this modpack.
Here's the official MinecraftForums thread for discussion over there.

Still not enough links yet? How about the very first original thread over on Technic? You can't comment in it anymore, but there is some great feedback and wont take too long to read through. You can also see how things progressed from back then to now!

May as well keep everything in one place.

Here's my texture pack for the old school Hexxit RE modpack. Should work just fine with Entropic Exploration for now. I will be updating/porting these textures into a new pack with a more fitting tittle to go along with this modpack in the near future.

Spreadsheets; More Swords info Mod Credits/Authors

Bonus doc: Survival Notes

This should be pretty much everything you need in one spot to get all the information you need regarding this modpack and the name change, etc. Thank you for reading!

Hexxit REvisited update/news [complicated]

Alright so first let us address that Dropbox is no longer allowing us to host the pack. If you try and download it from the direct link or Technic you'll get this error:
Error (429)
This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!
So as you can imagine not everyone is happy about this. Including us. We're currently looking for alternative services and perhaps a look into Curse and FTB modpacks. Perhaps porting it and tweaking it slightly and releasing them there?

FTB will most likely be hosted by me. It will be called Hexxit Continued! (due to copyright of the Hexxit name, we're not allowed to use it outside of Technic..)

Curse will be named Not Tech, Just Magic (aka, NTJM) again since we're not allowed to use Hexxit outside of Technic Platforms..
Curse link is no-tech-just-magic (looks like curse declined the download as some mods are NOT available via curse. It makes sense..but still even with perms from authors it should be allowed. Meh. I'm not gonna rage about it really. I'll keep looking!)
So when all this gets worked out, I'll be editing this post with proper links and don't worry I'll also announce this over on my YT channel as that's where most of you seek Hexxit RE guides. I do apologize I have been absent with it. I just felt initial beginner guides was enough to get started, I didn't plan on poking into every mod in the pack or there would be no fun in exploring it all for yourself! I did introduce small descriptions of the pack in one of my first videos and I felt that was enough. Even with 'recent' changed/updates to Hexxit RE, I still feel the guides are relevant. Now..not so much. So I'll probably kickstart a new tutorial series as most of this works out. Thank you all for your support and patience for this pack. Since nobody has really yelled at us about it, we assume you all enjoy it while it's still alive.

G+ Community

Figure I should put this here since, it's only been 2 days and it's already lost in the G+ posts. So now it's here and in the Links section of this blog as well as on the sites! So hopefully this is the best place to just have this here and open where you may find this and such.

'social' updates?

Since this blog is fairly good for keeping track up updates and keeping tabs on my history (it acts more like a journal sometimes.) I'll add that I've created an account over on Giphy.com You can check out my animations there from here on out! I try to add them to my CurseForge page but it's not always ideal. So now you can pop by giphy every time I update a pack and see if I have any related gifs to share of my texture updates. I sadly have no other real way of sharing animations. I don't feel like youtube is best for something so short. If I find another service then I'll be sure to add it here.

Note to self: Add a social tab here on the blog so it's easy for everyone to navigate. Also update your site.
